The players are the users currently participating in the ARG. Canonically the players are known as the 'Harbingers', a name given to them by the Lunar Children. The 'Harbingers' are said to oppose Luna's will. Because of this, the Lunar Children and the Moon Children see the players as mortal enemies. The name "Habringers" most likely originates from the Lunar Children believing the players will bring about the end times, as if they were harbingers of the apocalypse. Since Tyler is the players' link, he is referred to as the "Harbinger's Link" by the Lunar Children.
